According to Cnet, as part of the final 20-year development agreement, Apple plans to begin demolition of office buildings on the former Hewlett-Packard campus by the end of the year, with the first phase of construction expected to be completed by 2016.

As per the agreement, Apple has agreed to increase the amount of taxes it pays to the city of Cupertino in the form of a reduction in a sales tax rebate the city gives the company each year and now the city will refund only 35 percent out of the 50 percent sales tax rebate.

The highlight of the campus is the glass structure, surrounded by more than 7,000 trees that resembles a U.F.O disc, but actually leads to an underground auditorium.
