Former Co-CEO of Wipro IT Business Girish S Paranjpe has joined the Silicon Valley-based Bloom Energy International as Managing Director.
Bloom Energy International is a provider of breakthrough solid oxide fuel cell technology that produces clean, reliable, affordable onsite power.
Paranjpe will report to Bloom Energy Principal Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer K R Sridhar, a company statement said.
As part of his role, Paranjpe will be responsible for developing the global market for Bloom Energy's presence beyond the US and will also focus on creating new solutions around the Bloom Energy Server, and the flagship Bloom Electrons offering.
Prior to joining Bloom Energy International, Paranjpe was the Co-Chief Executive Officer of Wipro's IT Business and is an Executive Director on the Board of Wipro Limited.
Earlier, it was reported that Paranjpe was expected to join the global consulting company Ernst & Young in a global role.
