Thomas CookTravel services-provider Thomas Cook (India) will be the preferred currency exchanger in the Delhi international airport, under a seven-year revenue sharing contract it has signed with the airport company Delhi International Airport Limited.

"We will have nine forex and travel counters in the airport which will not only offer forex services but also all travel and travel-related products to passengers," Thomas Cook (India) managing director Madhavan Menon told PTI in Mumbai.

While the company would have nine counters, Central Bank of India will have two.

"So we will enjoy the bulk of the business at the airport," Menon said.

Besides foreign exchange, its counters will offer services such as air and rail ticket bookings, insurance, domestic and international travel packages and hotel bookings, among others, he said.

A revenue-sharing arrangement has been worked out with DIAL, Menon said, without disclosing more details.

In foreign exchange, the company would convert all possible currencies while travel services, though they may not generate a very high return in the immediate-term, hold an immense potential, he said.
