Tata Motors on Tuesday reported a 13.7 per cent increase in total vehicle sales for the fiscal ended March 31, as compared to the previous fiscal.
The company sold 4,54,345 units of vehicles (including exports) in FY-06 as against 3,99,566 vehicles last fiscal.
Sale of commercial vehicles during the reporting fiscal grew to 2,14,950 units compared to 1,89,994 units in FY-05, the company said in a release in Mumbai.
During FY-05, passenger vehicle business reported a total sale of 1,88,856 units, an increase of 5.5 per over FY-05, it said adding its Indigo range registered sales of 39,377 units, a growth of 0.2 per cent over the last fiscal.
Sumo and Safari accounted for sales of 37,905 units in FY-06, it said.
On the export front, the company shipped 50,539 units in the reporting fiscal as compared to 30,496 units in FY-05, an increase of 65.7 per cent.
