Sonata Software has posted a 97 per cent increase in net profit to Rs 4.12 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2003 when compared with Rs 2.09 crore for the corresponding quarter last fiscal.
Total income has increased 26 per cent to Rs 21.35 crore from Rs 16.91 crore.
The company has posted a 12 per cent decrease in net profit to Rs 15.58 crore for FY03 as against Rs 17.80 crore in FY02.
Total income has increased 1 per cent to Rs 84.55 crore from Rs 83.71 crore.
As per the consolidated results, the Group has posted a net profit of Rs 3.95 crore in the fourth quarter when compared with Rs 3.03 crore for the same quarter last year.
Total income has decreased to Rs 64.58 crore from Rs 66.78 crore.
The Group has posted a net profit of Rs 15.25 crore for FY03 as against Rs 20.89 crore in FY02.
Total income has increased to Rs 257.83 crore (Rs 2.57 billion) from Rs 227.53 crore (Rs 2.27 billion).
The board has recommended a final dividend of Rs 0.3 per share (30 per cent on face value of Re 1) subject to approval of shareholders. This along with the interim dividend of 20 per cent raises to total dividend for the year to 50 per cent.
