The Sensex moved higher after opening with a gain of 12 points at 7,888.
The Nifty also moved ahead after opening 0.7 points up at 2,406.
The Sensex finally gained 24 points to close at 7,900.
The Nifty gained 29 points to close at 2,414.
Gainers: Wipro, TCS, Bajaj, Maruti, Tata Motors, Hero Honda, HDFC Bank, SBI, HLL.
Losers: Infosys, Satyam, HDFC, ICICI Bank.
