Reliance Energy Q2 net at Rs 160 cr

Anil Ambani-controlled Reliance Energy Ltd on Wednesday reported a 24.53 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 159.57 crore (Rs 1.59 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2005, up from Rs 128.13 crore (Rs 1.28 billion) in the year-ago period.

The total income has increased 32.1 per cent to Rs 1,161.36 crore (Rs 11.61 billion) for the quarter ended September 30, 2005 from Rs 878.55 crore (Rs 8.78 billion) in the same period last fiscal, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange.
