Swedish car maker Volvo on Tuesday unveiled an all new version of its sports utility vehicle (SUV) XC90 in India, priced up to Rs 77.9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi without Octroi).
The all new XC90 will be available in Inscription and Momentum trims, priced at Rs 77.9 lakh and Rs 64.9 lakh respectively, Volvo Auto India said in a statement.
The Volvo XC90 can be pre-ordered starting today and deliveries will commence in September 2015, it added.
"The new XC90 marks the beginning of a new chapter for Volvo Cars, capturing its future design direction, incorporating its own range of new technologies and utilising its new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA)," Volvo Auto India, Managing Director, Tomas Ernberg said.
Volvo has invested $11 billion to develop the product and engine platforms over the past three years. The XC90 paves the way for a portfolio of exciting new cars to come in the following years, he added.
Volvo Auto India (VAI) established its presence the country in 2007 and now sells five models--Volvo S80, Volvo S60, Volvo XC60, Volvo V40 Cross Country and Volvo XC90.
