MobileFirst announces new cell tariffs

Virtually mirroring the tariff structure of Bharti, MobileFirst an alliance of BPL Mobile, Escotel, RPG Cellular and Spice Telecom announced on Saturday new cellular tariff for Plan-399 involving a rate of rupee one for local cell-to-cell outgoing call.

With monthly rental of Rs 399, the alliance is offering Rs 100 worth of outgoing airtime.

The outgoing airtime charges have been pegged at rupee one a minute for cell-to-cell calls and Rs 2 to other phones like fixed line and WLL networks.

On the long distance front (STD), the company would charge Rs 2 per minute for cell-to-cell STD calls, Rs 3 for calls to other phones for distance up to 500 kms and Rs 4 a minute for distance more than 500 kms, a company release said.
