Macromedia to hire 110 in Bangalore

Infotech firm Macromedia on Thursday said it would double its R&D headcount in India in the next nine months.

"We have a strength of 110 employees currently at our development centre in Bangalore. We plan to double it in next nine months," Shriram Krishnamachari, country manager, Macromedia India said.

Unveiling its Breeze 5 version for online conferencing and collaborative web communications, Krishnamachari said the company would focus on sectors like insurance, banking and financial services, telecom and software services for its new product.

"With Breeze 5, organisations and corporates can fully realise the benefits of accelerated and more effective training, marketing, selling and enterprise conferencing," he said.

Macromedia's revenues for last fiscal stood at $436 million and the company employees 1500 people worldwide.
