Ashok Leyland Ltd, India's second-largest truck and bus maker, said on Tuesday its vehicle sales in November rose 12.2 per cent from a year earlier.
The Chennai-based firm said in a statement it sold a total of 2,302 vehicles, including 297 in the export markets, compared with 2,052 in November last year.
Production was however down 27.6 per cent to 2,250 units from 3,106
units a year earlier.
Ashok Leyland's shares were down 0.83 per cent at 96.10 rupees at the Bombay Stock Exchange, while the Sensex was down 0.41 per cent.
