HCL Q2 net up 46.7% at Rs 129 cr

HCL Technologies on Tuesday reported a 46.7 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 129.14 crore (Rs 1.29 billion) in the second quarter ended December 2004 over the same period last year.

The company also announced an interim dividend of 200 per cent on the face value of Rs 2 per share for the quarter.

HCL Technologies posted a 2.4 per cent rise in revenue in Q2 at Rs 801.38 crore (Rs 8.01 billion) on a year-on-year basis.

The IT company added 16 new customers in the quarter taking the total to 493. 1775 employees were added in the period.

While 989 professionals were added in software services, 681 people were added in the BPO business, S L Narayanan, corporate vice president (finance), said in New Delhi.
