DLF IPO gets subscribed 2.36 times

The mega initial public offer of DLF Ltd, through which the developer is expecting to garner Rs 9,625 crore (Rs 96.25 billion), got subscribed 2.36 times in the first hour of its last day of offer on Thursday.

The issue received 41.31 crore bids for its 17.5 crore equity shares on offer, the data available on the stock exchanges show.

The issue, which had opened on June 11, would close at the end of working hours on Thursday. The company received decent response on Wednesday from the Qualified Institutional Buyers with the portion reserved for them getting subscribed over three times.

Besides, the portion reserved for retail investors had remained under-subscribed

on Wednesday.

A total of 1.26 crore bids have been received at the cut off price today. Billionaire K P Singh-promoted DLF, which is offering 17.5 crore equity shares through 100 per cent book-building process, has fixed the price band at Rs 500-550 per share.

The mega-issue would make it among the 10 largest firms on the bourses with a value of Rs 93,700 crore (Rs 937 billion) on the upper band. The issue would close on June 14. It would constitute 10.27 per cent of the fully diluted post-issue capital of the company.
