With a view to further strengthen Indo-British trade linkages, CII is taking a CEO's mission to the UK from June 19-22.

The mission, led by Confederation of Indian Industry president Y C Deveshwar, would brief their British counterparts on India's economic and political developments and discuss strategies to further enhance trade and investment relations.

The mission would have Infosys' chief mentor N R Narayan Murthy as its co-leader.

UK is the second largest investor in India while India was the eighth largest investor in UK in 2003, a CII statement said, adding that the UK provided an important bridge into the European market, attracting over 60 per cent of India's investment in Europe.

The CII mission would seek to take forward the initiatives of the ministerial-led joint economic and trade committee, which was set up during Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's visit to UK last year.

Other members of the mission include Tata Group's J J Irani, Dabur India's Anand C Burman, Moser Baer's Deepak Puri, Shell's Vikram Mehta, Bharti's Rakesh Bharti Mittal and TCS' Phiroz Vandrewala.
