Engines and specifications rearranged
All-new Hyundai Verna this time comes in 4 variants i.e. E, EX, SX and SX (O).
The sedan derives its power from the 1.6 L, 4-cylinder petrol and same capacity diesel powertrains. Interestingly, the choice of 1.4 L engine is dropped from the Verna lineup.
The petrol engine generates a maximum power of 121.3 bhp at 6400 rpm and 151 Nm of peak torque at 4850 rpm.
Here the power output is untouched, but distributed is now at 100 rpm higher compared to the earlier generation model.
Furthermore, in terms of torque, it is now delivered at a higher rev point, however sees a drop of about 4 Nm. With power output of 126.2 bhp and 260 Nm of torque diesel engine stay intact.
Fuel efficiency goes a notch higher
In the list of improvements, the fuel efficiency of New Hyundai Verna too sees a shoot up.
The previous petrol powered MT and AT variants offered 17.01 kmpl and 15.74 kmpl respectively, while the latest Verna offers 17.70 kmpl and 15.92 kmpl correspondingly.
On the similar lines, diesel counterpart delivers an increased mileage of 24.75 kmpl, up by 2.85 kmpl for the MT variant, while AT variant now gives out 21.02 kmpl, up by 1.94 kmpl.
Dimensions are now bigger
To make things more cozy and roomy inside, the overall measurements of the New Hyundai Verna witness an increase.
It now shares a length of 4440 mm, larger by 65 mm against the previous model.
