AAI has filed two cheque bouncing cases against Mallya's Kingfisher Airlines in the court.
A metropolitan magistrate's court in Mumbai on Friday reserved its order on applications filed by Airport Authority of India seeking a arrest warrant against industrialist Vijay Mallya.
AAI has filed two cheque bouncing cases against Mallya's Kingfisher Airlines in the court.
"The Court of 63rd Metropolitan Magistrate...has reserved the orders on the two applications in two cases of cheque bouncing of over Rs 100 crore against M/s Kingfisher Airlines and others," a release from AAI said.
Through these two applications, AAI has sought cancellation of permanent exemption from court appearance granted to Mallya, who has since left the country amid an outcry over his airline defaulting on repayment of over Rs 9,000 crore to the banks, and sought an arrest warrant against him.
AAI's lawyer argued that in view of cancellation of Mallya's passport, his lawyer may not be able to produce him in the court if the court orders so.
The court is likely to pass its order on Saturday.
