Scotland ask Australia to bat

Scotland captain Craig Wright won the toss and asked Australia to bat in their World Cup Group A opening match at Warner Park on Wednesday.

Teams:

Australia - Matthew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting (captain), Michael Clarke, Brad Hodge, Michael Hussey, Shane Watson, Brad Hogg, Nathan Bracken, Shaun Tait, Glenn McGrath.

Scotland - Fraser Watts, Majid Haq, Ryan Watson, Gavin Hamilton, Dougie Brown, Navdeep Poonia, Colin Smith, Craig Wright (captain), Glenn Rogers, John Blain, Paul Hoffman.

Umpires: Asoka de Silva (Sri Lanka) and Steve Bucknor (Jamaica).
