The Board of Control for Cricket in India has invited most former captains and senior players to participate in the deliberations in Mumbai on April 6 and 7 on India's humiliating performance in the World Cup. But former captain Bishan Singh Bedi said that he has not received any invitation for the meet.

"Why should I be traveling to Mumbai to attend the BCCI meeting on April 6 and 7 when I have not been invited," Bedi told rediff.com on Wednesday morning.

The legendary left-arm spinner has been very vocal and does not mince words when it comes to taking a stand. But he refused to comment on the mud-slinging tussle going on between India coach Greg Chappell and master batsman Sachin Tendulkar.

"I have been reading about the statements attributed to them. I am watching the whole episode from the sidelines," he said.

Sachin told The Times of India in an interview that he has been deeply hurt by coach Chappell's comments as his commitment to the game has been questioned.
