American tennis ace Serena Williams has maintained her No 1 spot, while German Angelique Kerber has slipped to the third in the latest women's tennis world rankings issued by the WTA.
Williams remains on top with 8, 625 points and maintains a comfortable advantage of 2,850 over Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska, who retains her second spot despite not featuring at the Volvo Car Open.
Meanwhile, Kerber suffered a setback in rankings after her semi-final exit at Charleston due to a viral illness.
