Sauber will not appeal against their exclusion from Sunday's Australian Grand Prix after an internal investigation showed they had made a mistake, the Formula One team said on Tuesday.
"We have since found that there was an error in the checking process for the relevant dimension on this component," said technical director James Key in a statement.
"We have already put measures in place to ensure that nothing of this kind occurs again in the future," he added.
Mexican Sergio Perez and Japan's Kamui Kobayashi finished seventh and eighth for the Swiss-based team in Melbourne but were then disqualified for a technical infringement relating to the rear wings of their cars.
