July 14, 2017 17:57 IST

They are the 'Gen Next' of Indian tennis.

Along with other youngsters -- Zeel Desai (she reached the third round in girls singles and the second round in the doubles) and Siddhanth Banthia -- they did well to make it to the main round at Wimbledon.

Meet India’s newest Girls’ Doubles pair of Mihika Jain and Mahak Yadav.

India's new bright spots on the tennis court, Mihika and Mahak may hot have, as yet, scorched the surface of Wimbledon with their tennis but they are slowly making their mark.

Mihika Jain and Mahak Yadav lost in their first round match of the Wimbledon Girls' Doubles on Wednesday.

The Indian pair lost 1-6, 1-6 to the American-Britain duo of Kayla Day and Katie Swan on Day 9 of the competition.

Wimbledon.com caught up with the teenagers, who looked more than happy to be interviewed. With a spark in their eyes and excitement in their voices, watch as the girls pour their hearts out about everything, from their on-court rapport, missing Sharapova to meeting Federer and their own future on the tennis court...
