Fourth seeds Rohan Bopanna and Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi were knocked out in the opening round of Wimbledon on Thursday.
The 'Indo-Pak Express' squandered match-point and lost 2-6, 6-2, 21-19 to the Colombian pair of Juan Sebastian Cabal and Robert Farah in a titanic slugfest on Court No. 6.
The Colombians staged a strong fightback after losing the first set to upset the 2010 US Open finalists.
Both pairs gave little away in the deciding set, which saw 40 games being played.
Bopanna and Qureshi could have clinched the issue in the 30th game, but wasted the opportunity.
Thereafter, the unseeded Cabal and Farah stepped up the momentum and raised their game several notches, settling the issue in the 40th game.
