Wembley stadium in London will stage the 2013 Champions League final only two years after hosting this year's match between Barcelona and Manchester United, UEFA said on Thursday.
The match had been awarded to Wembley to mark the English FA's 150th anniversary, UEFA president Michel Platini told reporters.
Platini, who in April apologised for the high cost of tickets at this year's final, said UEFA had also been impressed with the organisation at this year's match.
"This may seem exceptional but I think it was important for us to respect this anniversary of our game," said Platini.
