Paris Saint-Germain took a crucial advantage after beating Chelsea 2-1 in an entertaining UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first leg tie at the Parc des Princes in Paris on Tuesday.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the opener for PSG through an unfortunate move off Chelsea defender Mikel. Ibrahimovic's shot took a deflection off the foot of Mikel and beat 'keeper Courtois all ends up to gift PSG the first goal.
In the other match of the night, Portuguese Benfica fought off a challenge from Russian Zenit St Petersburg to beat them 1-0 after a late goal from Jonas Oliveira.
Jonas struck with a stoppage-time header to end 90 minutes of frustration for Benfica as they beat an ultra-cautious Zenit St Petersburg in the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie.
