A day after winning the gold in the 50 metre freestyle category, India's Virdhawal Khade on Monday swam to a silver medal in the 50m butterfly event at the International Schwimmfest in Darmstadt, Germany.
The youngster clocked 24.28 seconds and missed out on the gold by a mere one-hundredths of a second. He also narrowly missed bettering his own national record of 24.25sec that he set at the 2008 Commonwealth Youth Games.
On Sunday, Khade won the 50m freestyle event with a timing of 22.96sec.
The Indian swimming trio of Khade, Sejwal and J Agnishwar would now begin their final preparations for the World Swimming Championships in Rome, where the swimming events begin on July 26.
