Mark Heather of England won his first ever men's PSA squash title by default when his Australian opponent Mike Corren conceded the final in the Chennai Open 2003 on Sunday night.

The tournament ended tamely when the top-seeded Corren complained of 'diarrhoea' and threw in the towel. Heather was leading 11-15, 15-12, 15-4, 6-1 when the Aussie conceded the match.

The 26-year-old Heather lost the first game at 11-15, but found his touch in the second. The manner in which he went about his task in the second and third games gave enough evidence of his superiority over the Australian.

In the Natalia Grand finals of the National Circuit that was held concurrently, top seeded Saurav Ghoshal claimed the boys' under-19 title, beating Delhi's Gourav Nandrajog 9-1, 9-3.

Joshna Chinappa of Tamil Nadu reaffirmed her superiority in the girls' under-19 section, beating Sonali Philip (TN) 9-4, 9-7, 9-6 to claim the title.
