India's Somdev Devvarman on Saturday bowed out of the Atlanta Tennis Championships singles event after a straight-set defeat at the hands of defending champion Mardy Fish of the United States in the quarter-finals.
Eight seeded Somdev lost 4-6, 3-6 to the top seed American in a 52-minute last eight contest in the $531,000 hard court event.
Somdev had beaten Ryan Sweeting of United States and Japan's Ito Tatsuma en route to the quarter-finals.
