India’s PV Sindhu fought back from a game down to advance to the quarter-final of the China Open after defeating Thailand’s Busanan Ongbamrungphan.
Sindhu beat the Thai 21-23, 21-13, 21-18 after a tough contest.
After losing the first game, Sindhu came back strongly to push the match into a decider. Sindhu kept World No 24 Ongbamrungphan on her toes and eventually won the third game 21-18 and the match to progress to the last 8.
