Vijay Kumar won the gold medal in the 25m Center-Fire Pistol event at the Sajjan Singh Sethi Memorial Masters meet Jalandhar on Monday.
There was a shoot-off for first place as both Vijay Kumar and Jaspal Rana were tied at 582 points.
In the tie-breaker, Vijay shot 50 against 47 by Rana who had to settle for the silver medal.
Commonwealth Games hero Samresh Jung claimed bronze shooting 50 in the shoot-off with Mahavir Singh after both of them were tied on 581. Mahavir could only manage 47 in the tie-breaker.
