Shikha Uberoi faltered at the final hurdle with a straight-set loss in the women's singles qualifiers of the US Open in New York on Saturday.
The US-based Indian went down 6-3, 6-1 to Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland in the third round of the qualifiers.
Shikha had earlier beaten Sara Errani of Italy 7-6 (3), 6-2 in the first round and knocked out another Italian Valentina Sassi 6-1, 7-6 (8) in the second.
Meanwhile, Sania Mirza will take on Karolina Sprem of Croatia in the women's singles main draw on Monday.
