Ace Indian paddlers Sharath Kamal and Subhajit Saha will feature in the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Pro Tour Grand Finals that gets underway in Seoul from December 16-19.
The duo, who won the Commonwealth Games gold medal in men's doubles event, are the only Indians to play in the event since it started in 1996.
The 28-year-old Sharath, who won the Commonwealth Games gold in Melbourne in 2006, will fight it out with 15 other players in the singles event.
The Chennai-based player will also combine with Subhajit to compete with seven other pairs in the men's doubles category.
Sharath has been in red-hot form this year, winning back-to-back tournaments in US and Egypt in July. His consistent show helped him to register a career-best ranking of 39. The world number 48 also made the semi-finals of the Indian Open in June.
Among others, World number six Vladimir Samsonov of Belaurs will be the highest-ranked player in the tournament, which will also feature paddlers from South Korea, Japan and Germany.
