It was curtains for India at the Scottish Open after men's singles player Anand Pawar and men's doubles pair of Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy bowed out of the 50,000 Grand Prix badminton tournament, in Glasgow.
In men's doubles, top seeds Manu and Sumeeth too had reached the quarter-finals with a 17-21 21-17, 21-14 win over England's Christopher Coles and Netherlands's Jelle Maas but the duo could not tame fifth seeds Andrew Ellis and Peter Mills of England, losing 17-21, 15-21 in a 32-minute match.
