Sania whipped the Australian, ranked world no. 628, 6-0, 6-0.
In the doubles, Sania paired with Rushmi Chakravarthy to defeat Sarah Borwell and Anna Hawkins of the UK 6-4, 6-4 in a well-contested battle to enter the quarter-finals.
