Indian tennis star, Sania Mirza and her husband and former Pakistani cricket captain, Shoaib Malik became proud parents to a baby boy on October 30, 2018.
Izhaan is the tennis sensation’s and Pakistani cricketer's first born.
The 32-year-old recently took to Twitter to share a picture with her bundle of joy.
Izhaan is seen carefully tucked in Sania's arms, wrapped in a customised blue blanket.
Having shared numerous pictures on social media throughout her pregnancy, it was the first occasion for Sania to post a picture with her son Izhaan.
Recently, Sania celebrated her 32nd birthday with her newborn son Izhaan Mirza-Malik and family. She also decided to celebrate her birthday in a different manner, by hitting the gym. In a photo uploaded on the social media, she said she was "like a kid in a candy chop" after going to the gym for the first time since giving birth to her son.
Sania wanted her child's surname to be 'Mirza Malik'.
"Today, I will tell you a secret. My husband and I have spoken about it and we have decided that whenever we have a child, the child will have Mirza Malik as a surname and not just Malik. So that's where we stand as a family including my husband. He actually wants a daughter," Sania said during a panel discussion on 'Gender Bias' at the 'Goa Fest 2018'.
