Sania Mirza missed out on winning her second title of the season after losing the final of the $1,00,000 ITF tournament in Taipei along with local player Hsieh Su-wei.
The second seeded Indo-Taipei pair lost 2-6, 4-6 to local favourite third seeds Chang Kai-Chen and Chuang Chia-Jung in the summit clash.
Sania had lost in the first round of the singles event with a 3-6, 4-6 defeat against Serbian Bojana Jovanovski.
Sania had won her first title of the 2010 season at the Guangzhou International Women's Open along with Romanian partner Edina Gallovits in September.
That was her ninth career doubles title. Sania won her first and only WTA singles title in 2005 after beating Alyona Bondarenko of Ukraine in the Hyderabad Open.
Her maiden Grand Slam title came only last year when she won the mixed doubles event of the Australian Open along with Mahesh Bhupathi.
