Top seed Saina Nehwal and P Kashyap entered the semi-finals of the women's and men's singles respectively in the Singapore Open Super Series badminton tournament in Singapore on Friday.
World No 6 Saina needed just 32 minutes for a 21-17, 21-14 win over qualifier Li Xuerui of China at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
The Indian ace will meet fourth seed Lan Lu of China on Saturday for a place in the summit clash.
Lu beat unseeded Porntip Buranaprasertsuk 21-12, 21-9 in another quarter-final.
In the men's singles, Kashyap made it to the semi-finals after a 21-17, 21-16 win over compatriot Arvind Bhat in a quarter-final that lasted 40 minutes.
It was curtains though for India in the women's doubles and mixed doubles as they failed to get past the quarter-finals.
In the women's doubles quarter-finals, Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponnappa lost 11-21, 19-21 to Singapore's Shinta Mulia Sari and Lei Yao.
In the mixed doubles, Gutta and V Diju, seeded sixth, lost to second seeds Thomas Laybourn and Kamilla Rytter Juhl of Denmark 19-21, 16-21.
