Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Thursday, launched the 'Fit India Movement', aimed at encouraging people to include physical activity and sports in their everyday lives.
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar spent some time with the inmates of St. Anthony’s Old Age Home, in Bandra, Mumbai on the occasion of National Sports Day.
Tendulkar played carrom and interacted with the women of the old age home.
“Spent some time with these wonder women at the St. Anthony’s Old Age Home, felt blessed by the love shown by them. Their excitement to play carrom knew no bounds,” Tendulkar tweeted.
“As rightly said by our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, sports and fitness is for all,” he added.
The residents were given carrom boards and other board games by Tendulkar to keep them engaged and remain healthy.
