Women’s Individual Recurve: Bombayala Devi Laishram bt Laurence Baldauff of Austria in 1/32 elimination round and Chinese Taipei's Lin Shih-Chia in 1/16 elimination.

Women’s Individual Recurve: Deepika beat Georgia's Kristine Esebua, 6-4 in the 1/32 elimination round and Italy's Sartori Guendalina 6-2 in the 1/16 elimination. 

JUDO: (Men’s 90kg)

Avtar Singh lost to Misenga Popole of the Refugee Olympic Team in the men's 90kg elimination Round of 32.

HOCKEY: (Women’s)

India lost to Australia 1-6.

SHOOTING:

Men’s 50m Pistol Qualification: Jitu Rai finished 12th in the six-series qualifying round; Prakash Nanjappa 25th among 41 shooters.

BOXING:

Men’s Light-welter weight (64 kg): Manoj Kumar beat Lithuanian Evaldas Petrauskas 2-1 to advance to the round of 16. He won 29-28, 29-28, 29-28.
