How Indian athletes fared on Day 4 in Rio

ARCHERY: 

Men’s: Atanu Das beat Jit Bahadur Muktan of Nepal in the preliminary round; bt Cuba’s Adrian Andres Puentes Perez 6-4 in Round of 32.  

HOCKEY:

Men’s: India beat Argentina 2-1 for second victory in three matches. K Chinglensana (8th minute) and Khadangbam Kothajit (35th minute) scored for India, while Gonzalo Peillat scored the solitary goal for Argentina in 49th minute.

ROWING: 

Men’s Single Sculls: Dattu Baban placed fourth in the quarter-finals.

SHOOTING: (Women’s 25m pistol)

Heena Sidhu finishes a lowly 20th. She shot 95-95-96 in the Precision and then 97-97-96 in Rapid.

BOXING: (Men's 75 kg)

Vikas Krishan advanced to the Round of 16 after out-punching American Charles Conwall 3-0.  The 24-year-old Vikas won by a unanimous decision with a of score of 29-28, 29-28 and 29-28 in the three rounds to advance.
