London Olympics bronze medalist Saina Nehwal regained second place while Parupalli Kashyap continued his upward progress, earning two places to reach seventh in the latest world badminton rankings, on Thursday.

Saina lost a position and slipped to third last week, but after the semi-final finish at the All England Championships, regained the No 2 ranking.
From World No. 9 last week, he jumped to the seventh place.
Ajay Jayaram was steady at 31, while RMV Gurusaidutt and Sourabh Verma rose two and four places respectively, reach 36 and 39.
Anand Pawar is the other Indian in the top 50, at No 44.
Rising women's shuttler P V Sindhu remained at No 16.
