Prakash, Harsh finish runners-up

Prakash Amritraj and Harsh Mankad came close to bagging ATP Challenger doubles titles but had to be content with runners-up finishes at different events with their respective partners.

Mankad and his American partner Kaes Van't Hof lost the final of the US $50,000 Sarasota Open in Longboat Key, United States, 2-6, 4-6 to second seeds Victor Estrella of Dominican Republic and Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico.

The third seeded pair split US $1800 and earned 45 points for reaching the finals.

At the euro 64,000 Izmir Cup in Turkey, Prakash and his American partner Rajeev Ram, seeded second, went down 3-6, 3-6 in the the summit clash to top seed Israelis Jonathan Erlich and Harel Levy.

They got euro 2,350 as prize-money and 55 ranking points each.
