Praful Patel named member of Ad-Hoc Committee

The President of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) Praful Patel was on Thursday appointed member of the Ad-Hoc Committee for Member Associations for the term 2011-2015 by the Executive Committee of the Asian Football Confederation.

The Committee will act as a consultative body for AFC Executive Committee in matters related to Member Associations in Asia.

It will discuss the development and management of professional football as well as the Club Licensing System.

Besides, the Executive Committee of the AFC also appointed Patel as the Deputy Chairman of the AFC Competitions Committee.

The Executive Committee also decided to appoint Sunando Dhar, CEO, I-League and Rajiv Piramal, Club Director, Pune FC, as Co-opted members of the Ad-Hoc Committee for Professional Clubs for the term of 2011-2015.

The Committee will act as a consultative body for AFC Executive Committee in matters related to Professional Clubs and Leagues in Asia.

A R Khaleel has been appointed as a member of the AFC Social Responsibility Committee for the term 2011-2015 by the AFC Executive Committee.

The Committee shall ensure that AFC's social responsibilities are discharged consistent with AFC's policies and objectives and to be a source of unity to the football family.
