India's top-ranked squash player Dipika Pallikal married her fiancé and long time beau, cricketer Dinesh Karthik, in a traditional Christian ceremony on Wednesday.
The couple, who were engaged in November 2013, took their marriage vows at a church in Chennai.
Pallikal looked stunning in a traditional white gown and baby pink veil.
They will have a Telgu-Naidu Hindu wedding ceremony later on Thursday.
'I have been ready for it (marriage) for sometime now. She has been ready for it from the beginning and the dates are more or less are final. We have gotten used to each other a lot more than it was at the start. So, basically, we are ready and there is no fear,' Karthik had told PTI in a candid chat last October.
They had to postpone their marriage last year because of hectic schedules, more so for Pallikal who had to focus on the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games.
