U Mumba overcame a fighting Bengaluru Bulls 36-30 in a thrilling summit clash to lift the second Star Sports Pro Kabaddi Season 2 crown at a packed NSCI Stadium, in Mumbai, on Sunday.
Actress Alia Bhat sang the national anthem during the final of eight-team league.
The Pro Kabaddi season 2 final proved to be a star studded affair, with Bollywood stars like Alia Bhatt, Saif Ali Khan and Katrina Kaif cheering for U Mumba.
Katrina came with co-star Saif to promote her movie Phantom.
Mahendra Singh Dhoni enjoyed himself at the final and even spoke about the sports. The ODI captain has retired from Test cricket and is currently not part of the squad in Sri Lanka.
Shabeer Bapu Sharfudeen turned out to be the superhero for U Mumba as they were declared the ultimate champions of Pro Kabaddi. Shabeer came up with a three point super raid that brought back Mumba back in the game.
Starting the game as slight favourites, the Mumbai outfit had to stretch every sinew to get the better of their rivals from Bengaluru who fought tooth and nail but fell short at the end.
