Celebrity Classico 2016 was played between India’s Test skipper Virat Kohli-led All Heart Football Club (a property of The Virat Kohli Foundation) and Abhishek Bachchan’s All Stars Football Club (run by Playing for Humanity) at the Mumbai Football Arena, Andheri Sports Complex, on Saturday.
The charity football match was played to raise funds for the severe drought in Maharashtra. It included a galaxy of stars like India’s limited overs captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and top Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor.
On an action-packed starry night, the cricketers were struggling for a bit in the middle, but there was no winner as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
The two sides first played each other in 2013 in New Delhi for charity where the cricketers won.
