Defending champions Pakistan retained the Asian Kabaddi Championship title after convincingly defeating arch rivals India by 50-31 in the final match of the tournament near Islamabad.
The tournament, which was held at Wah Cantonment from April 27, saw the participation of seven team including India, Iran, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.
With the nation already facing international isolation in many other sports over security concerns, the Kabbadi tournament was seen as a rare example of hosting a successful international event at home.
