Leander Paes and Czech Republic's Martin Damm advanced to the second round of the US Open tennis championship with an easy victory over Petr Pala and Robin Vik on Friday.
Sixth-seeded Paes and Damm knocked out the Czech pair 6-1 6-2.
The Indian star was to later pair up with Samantha Stosur of Australia against Belarussians Max Mirnyi and Victoria Azarenka in the mixed doubles opener.
