Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhupathi entered the semi-finals of the mixed doubles at the US Open on Monday.
While second seeds Paes and Zimbabwe's Cara Black got the better of seventh seeds Rennae Stubbs of Australia and Robert Lindstedt of Sweden 7-5, 3-6 [10-6], top seeds Bhupathi and Liezel Huber of the United States scored an easy victory over eighth seeds Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Nenad Zimonjic, winning 6-4, 6-3.
In the semi-finals, Paes and Black will meet unseeded Su-Wei Hsieh and Kevin Ullyett, while Bhupathi and Huber take on another unseeded pair, Carly Gullickson and Travis Parrott.
It was good going for the Indian duo in the men's doubles too. Both won their third round matches easily.
Paes and the Czech Republic's Lukas Dlouhy, seeded No 4, beat Julian Knowle and Jurgen Melzer of Austria 7-5, 6-4, while Bhupathi and Mark Knowles of the Bahamas, seeded No 3, got the better of Taipei's Yen-Hsun Lu and Israel's Dudi Sela 6-4, 6-4.
