World number one and defending champion Roger Federer was drawn against Guillermo Coria, Ivan Ljubicic and David Nalbandian in the group stages of the $4.45 million Tennis Masters Cup in Shanghai.
The quartet were placed in the Red Group for the November 13-20 season-ending extravaganza.
The Gold Group features Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi, Nikolay Davydenko and Gaston Gaudio.
The top two in each group will advance to the semi-finals of the event to be staged in Shanghai's Qi Zhong Stadium.
