Spain's Rafa Nadal charged into his first US Open final after beating Mikhail Youzhny of Russia 6-2, 6-3, 6-4 in Saturday's first semi-final at Flushing Meadows.
The world number one will play either Switzerland's Roger Federer or Novak Djokovic of Serbia in Sunday's final as he bids to complete his own career grand slam.
Yet to drop a set in the entire tournament, Nadal completely overwhelmed the 12th seeded Youzhny on a perfect sunny afternoon in New York, racing to a lopsided victory in two hours and 13 minutes.
